Find your base

Where should your group stay?

Compare the golf base and the time off the course. Start with one region or keep all three open; you can change your answer in the planner.

Coast, towns & countryside

Western Algarve

Start here for: a town base around Lagos or Portimão, coastal outings and golf in coastal or inland settings, including the Monchique foothills.

The decision: town or countryside?

List your preferred courses first. Compare a town stay for evenings out with a quieter inland base, then check the airport journey and each day’s course transfer.

Resort golf & lagoon landscapes

Central Algarve

Start here for: resort golf around Vilamoura, Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo, with beaches and Ria Formosa landscapes for time away from the course.

The decision: course-side or evenings out?

Decide whether the group values staying beside the golf or being near restaurants. Check the actual hotel address and how non-players will get around.

Lagoon coast & eastern courses

Eastern Algarve

Start here for: an eastern course shortlist, with town, village and resort bases from Tavira and Vila Nova de Cacela towards Castro Marim.

The decision: which courses shape the base?

Compare the courses you want with a map of the eastern Algarve. Allow for transfers, evenings out and beach or Ria Formosa plans for the non-players.

Choose eastern Algarve

Select “Not sure” and make the rest of your plan first. You can still print it with the region undecided.

What you get

Your answers become
a printable trip summary.

We call it a group brief: your travel preferences in one document, followed by a booking checklist. Here’s how to use it.

  1. 1

    Answer five short steps

Choose an area, add your dates and group size, then set the rounds, budget and travel preferences. Anything undecided can stay blank.

  2. 2

Keep a copy for the group

Review the summary on screen. Choose Print or Save as PDF, then send your copy to the group using your usual email or group chat.

  3. 3

Ask an operator about the trip

Contact your chosen operator with the agreed summary. They can assess your request and discuss options, availability, prices and booking terms with you.

Keep your group brief handy when discussing courses, accommodation and transfers with your chosen operator.

Before you ask for a quote

Three decisions to agree with the group.

Use these questions before filling in the planner — or come back to them when you share your summary.

01

A golf break or a holiday with golf?

Agree how many days everyone wants to play, whether to leave a free day, and how much time the non-players want together.

02

One budget everyone understands

Separate flights from golf, accommodation and local transport. Agree room sharing and whether club or buggy hire needs to fit inside the target.

03

Leave room for the practicalities

Check airport arrival times, space for golf bags and journeys between rounds. Ask the operator about course requirements and cancellation terms.

Keep this part handy

Your booking checklist.

This checklist is included when you print your trip summary. Use it when discussing the trip with an operator.

  • Agree who is organising and which decisions the group has approved.
  • Confirm dates, player numbers and what the budget includes.
  • Check travel times, room arrangements and space for golf bags.
  • Ask about course requirements, hire needs and tee-time flexibility.
  • Understand the operator’s terms, cancellation conditions and financial protection.
  • Wait for written supplier confirmations before treating anything as booked.

Before you begin

Using the planner

What you can make, keep and do next.

Is this a booking service?

No. You get a printable record of your group’s preferences and a checklist. You contact an operator separately to discuss availability, get a quote and make any bookings.

Can we start without dates or a final headcount?

Yes. Enter an estimate or leave the detail undecided. It will be shown that way in your summary, so the group knows what is still to agree.

Will our brief go to a tour operator?

No. Print or save your summary, then share your copy with an operator yourself. Any later sharing by this service would need your permission for a named recipient and purpose.

Do we have to stay in a particular town?

No. The site covers the whole Algarve. Your preferred region is a planning choice; no venue or restaurant determines your golf trip.
